If you are serious about photography eventually you will buy a dslr. Of course the manufacturers want you to have 3 or 4 different cameras, a pocket compact, a serious compact, an action compact, a csc and of course a dslr. Why don’t people just buy a dslr, the answer is always the same, size and weight, well just get over it, some things that are good come with the need to compromise comfort…..

They are the ones that typically look a little more like point-and-shoot cameras but also have interchangeable lenses (there are exceptions to that, with some models acting as out-and-out DSLR replacements).
