Mike Green Exhibition Oxford

I went to the private view of Mike Green’s new exhibition at Art Jericho in Oxford. Mike has been associated with the Photographers Workshop for many years and is a very fine black and white photographer with an exquisite eye for the street photography influenced by the famous French photographers such as Henri Cartie-Bresson, (considered to be the father of modern photojournalism, and who helped develop the “street photography” or “real life reportage” style that has influenced generations of photographers who followed.)

Mike’s exhibition is a joy with many well seen and beautifully captured moments, and unusually today all shot on film and printed on traditional photographic silver gelatin papers. “This is a pixel free zone” said Mike when I questioned him, that is until his wife Christine moved into our eye line with a digi camera in hand, “oh well said Mike!”

If you are lucky enough to be in Oxford make the time to visit the gallery and see this exhibition
