insights into photography

About

The Oxford School of Photography and The Photographers Workshop were established in 1982 to provide a wide range of photographic services to the business and academic communities in Oxford and to the wider public. Keith Barnes founded PWS and OSP and runs the organisations today working as a professional commercial photographer and teacher. Based in our studio and teaching space in East Oxford close to the famous Cowley Road the school and professional photography sit side by side feeding each other with a love for photography.

This blog expresses our love for and excitement in the ever expanding world of photography,

“I think a photography class should be a requirement in all educational programs because it makes you see the world rather than just look at it. “  and

“The camera is an instrument that teaches people how to see without a camera” Dorethea Lange

could be our mottos

and finally “It’s weird that photographers spend years or even a whole lifetime, trying to capture moments that added together, don’t even amount to a couple of hours.” James Lalropui Keivom
